My Life in Right Up Front

Part 1 - The Beginning
When I was 14 years old, Brendan and I we're getting to know each other and our main interest was pop-punk and classic rock. We had talked about jamming prior to this because we were both drummers and guitar players. I had no idea how good Brendan was when he mentioned that he knew how to play guitar. I doubted him when he said he knew how to play Eruption by Van Halen. Three days after Christmas, me and Brendan jammed to several classic rock songs and Brendan showed me an original song he had written, which was a very good song that I wish we could've done as a whole band. When New Years Day of 2015 rolled around, me and Brendan we're at my house in my room in a tiny little trailer forming our first band right there. We were practicing a couple songs like "Enter Sandman", "Ain't Talking 'Bout Love" and "Carry On Wayward Son" at this point. We weren't very good and at the time we thought "this sounds amazing", "this is awesome", etc. We said one day during our jam sessions, "Hey, we should form a band!" We needed a name but didn't know anything about naming a band. So, we thought of some and Fake Reality was born. When we had gotten back into school. we were in need of a bass player. A life long friend, who's been my best friend since Kindergarten, named Peyton Bowman was offered if we wanted to join because he was learning bass at this point. He kindly replied "give me a couple months and I'll think about it," which it was his was of saying that he wasn't good.
Part 2 - The First Practice as A Whole
In March of 2017, we had upgraded our practice sessions, place wise and musician wise. We went from a bedroom to a storage shed. We had invited Peyton to a session and he agreed to this one. Me and Brendan asked him, "Hey what songs do you know." He said, "Brain Stew" by Green Day and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. The previous night before, Brendan and I had practiced "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World, "American Idiot" by Green Day, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit." We all agreed why not make a medley, so we taught each others parts. Like I taught Brendan how to play The Middle, Peyton taught Brendan how to play Brain Stew and we all came together on Smells Like Teen Spirit and the Punk Rock Medley was formed. We decided to upload it to YouTube, we instantly gained 886 views which blew us away.
Part 3 - The Hiatus
Several practices went by and several songs were learned including the blink-182 classic, "Dammit (Growing Up)." We decided to change the band name to Right Up Front and had recorded our first song entitled "Broken With Humanity." At this point, we were all arguing with each other on who was in control and who was doing what. So we decided to take a break, and at this point my parents announced to me that we were moving to Ocala, FL. I broke the news to the guys. They were heartbroken but they understood. We tried to stay together by online but that failed. So we officially announced that we were going on what is known as a hiatus or a temporary break.
Part 4 - The Reformation
In August of 2016, I had met Drake at my new school, and he was starting out on guitar. We jammed a couple times and I told him that I was starting a new band. Little did he know he was going to be envolved with a band that was already formed. He said "Hey, i know a drummer and he knows a singer," the two turned out to be aunt and nephew by the names of Alanna Knoke and Caleb Delfosse. Caleb and Alanna didn't like Drake and turned it upon me to kick him out, which i didn't want to. Caleb was soon let go from his health. So, I grabbed Cody Moore on bass, Kevin Ogden on guitar and Chris Maerz on vocals. Neither of the guys wanted to practice, so they was let go. I explained to Drake that I didn't want to kick him out but Alanna and Caleb told me too and he understood and forgave me and the band and was then a member again. Me and him heard about a guy named Cael Viktora, who we had no idea about. When we heard Cael play, we immediately wanted him to play guitar for us. And he gladly accepted and we currently are writing music with him!
